Read the full guideWhy fields fed DAP year after year often run short of zinc, how phosphorus and zinc compete, and how to balance the two without losing yield.
Phosphorus and zinc compete. When a field gets heavy phosphate year after year, the crop can take up less zinc, and the soil's zinc becomes less available, especially in alkaline soils. The answer is not less phosphorus where the crop needs it, but balanced feeding: phosphorus by soil test, and zinc applied where the test shows it is short.

Doses depend on the crop, soil and product, so this page gives methods, not amounts. Take the dose from your soil test report, the product label or your local agriculture officer or KVK. Results differ from farm to farm with soil, weather, crop and management. Farmer experiences on this site are their own reports, not a promise of results.

Standard DAP does not. Some fortified fertilizers carry zinc; check the bag.
